What time is it?

So when I moved to South Florida three years ago from New York City, I vowed to never wear a watch again. I threw all of my watches in my jewelry boxes and closed the lid. "I'm a beach bum now, I don't need to know what time it is," I would tell myself. And really, in this day and age, who doesn't have a cell phone already in their hand where they can just as easily check the time? Too convenient.

But I've recently come across some stunning watches that I'm not sure I can live without. I might just have to renounce my evil ways of watch abandonment and dress up my left wrist a bit. Check out some of my latest favorite watch finds!

LOVE the leopard! This is perfect for day into night.

ASOS Aztec Bright Watch
I am so happy tribal prints are IN right now. The use of colors and patterns is just amazing!

Stuhrling Original Women's Verona Del Mar Swiss Quartz Watch
Tiffany blue and anchors? Hello endless summer! This is pure paradise.

La Mer's Coral Gold Tokyo Crystal Chain Wrap
Coral and gold is such a great color combo, especially with all the extra hardware. This bracelet watch combo is too stunning for words.

...and this just cracks me up :)

Neon and Lace and NYC

So I've been a bit busy this month...hence the lack of posts! I was in NYC for a week visiting my family. 30 of us were at my parents place to celebrate my grandfathers 90th birthday! It really was an amazing event, there is nothing like getting the whole gang together. My family is so loud and crazy, there is never a dull moment.

I was lucky enough to do some shopping while in NY. I love Miami, but the shopping is sometimes limited. New York has everything a girl could dream for! I'll post up some fashion finds later on. So I am currently sitting at home while Tropical Storm Isaac pounds outside. It's a lot of heavy rain, but thats about it. Although, the tornado warnings do NOT make me happy.

There is nothing like a rainy Sunday, am I right? Just sitting around with the boys, watching cheesy TV and playing with puppy. John and I even sat out in our Florida room and played some Yahtzee!

So a few days ago I was cruising Lincoln Road here in South Beach and I decided to see what Aldo currently has to offer. I was pleasantly surprised to find some neon lace shoes and matching bags! Talk about heaven! Neon is so much fun right now, and if you know anything about my jewelry line, White Bear, you know I am a LACE fanatic! It's still late enough in the summer to get these fun pops of neon in, so I certainly recommend a trip to Aldo for all!

Sunburns and Smiles

A day at the beach is the perfect way to spend a weekend. Especially when it's with your loving boyfriend and wonderful friends. I live on South Beach in Miami. While the water is a gorgeous shade of turquoise, the sand can sometimes be a bit rough and covered with lots of seaweed. But aside from the noisy tourists and debris, the beaches of Miami truly are amazing. We love the snorkeling and the sunsets are always top-notch. Check out some of my pictures from our latest beach adventure. I'm seriously so lucky to live just a few short blocks from the ocean!

Mint Delicious

Ok, so today is a very busy day for me but I just had to post something! As said yesterday, I am obsessed over the color mint! It is so perfect for any season. These are some of my all time favorite mint finds. The Mara Hoffman bathing suit is great for summer, the oxfords would look adorable with a pair of cuffed jeans and the necklace would look stunning over a buttoned up white blouse. Don't even get me started on the awesomeness of the stag head!

What's In My Closet Wednesday's

I wasn't able to log into my blog for a few days...talk about annoying! Good job blogger. Thanks.

So I've come up with a few ideas. I like the sound of "What's In My Closet Wednesday's." People are always asking me about my clothes, so why not show em off a bit. I had to stop into Ross yesterday, and actually came across a few cute things. I'm such a bargain shopper, so why not? This company called "Bebop" is totally affordable and has some really great, trendy dresses available in many different department stores.

I found this fun black and red color blocking dress that is so unique! It is surprisingly flattering on my bigger frame. $15.00! With a pair of strappy black heels and sparkly, big accessories you can't go wrong.

Also, I am SERIOUSLY in love with one of my own, new creations. I know this is in some ways shameless plugging, so I apologize...but I would buy this ring if I saw it on the street!
It's available at my shop on Etsy.com. Purple and mint are so in right now, and it just happens to have been my favorite color combo since I was a little girl! To die for! They are colors that really can go all year around, especially down here in Miami :) Other color combo's I am really into right now are mint and cobalt (as seen below) and coral and grey. Bright colors are everywhere this summer and all I have to say is it's about darn time!

...feels like the very first time

So I've been trying to figure out what my first real blog post should be about. I was thinking maybe I should introduce myself a little bit. Or maybe talk about fashion or an awesome recipe or who knows! I think I will just start off by saying how excited I am to finally give this blog thing a real go. Over the years I've had countless journals, blogs that I've started and never used, and really, more than enough spoken words to fill an endless book.

Who is Lindsay? ...I'm a little bit of everything. I'm an extremely opinionated person, which I happen to like! But I am also a free-spirit and will really go along with anything. I guess that's where I got the name for my blog, The Royal Bohemian. One of my nicknames is "Princess." Mostly because I seriously have convinced myself that I was royalty in another life. I'm obsessed over vintage, royalty, lace. I also love the richer aspects in life, but am not a snob about it. All things girly and cutesy are amazing in my eyes. Royal.

Bohemian. My boyfriend, John, always makes fun of my "hippie" feet. No matter how many times a day I clean them, the bottoms are black. I'm almost always in flip flops, since I live on the beach! I'm a total beach bum and peace and love type of girl. A true friend that would do anything for anyone. My parents were once hippies so I guess it's in my blood!

In a fashion sense, I'm all about color and patterns. Everything bright and fun is right up my alley. I like to think of myself as a trendsetter...you know, not to blow my own horn or anything! :) I have a knack for wearing things that will be popular six months in the future. Always have. I also kind of have a shopping problem. My wardrobe has always been so excessive that I used to invite my close girlfriends over to do some "spring cleaning." As my very dear friend, Miss Kim Kalish of New York City used to say, "It's time to go shopping in Lindsay's closet, best store in town!"

I started my own jewelry company last year, White Bear. I mostly sell online and in a boutique in NYC. Please do check it out! I'm a creative person, thats to say the least. This blog will be a creative outlit for me, for sure. I can't wait to get it going!

Thanks for reading and check back soon for some fun stuff!
