Sorry for the lack of updates! I've been so busy working events and getting my jewelry ready for my FIRST show! I sold my
White Bear jewelry at the
Wynwood Squat here in Miami's Wynwood Art Walk this past Saturday. The art walk is an amazing monthly event where all the galleries and restaurants open their doors to thousands of people and come together for what some would call, a big ol' party. Many serve free drinks and niblets and have DJ's and other special events. Who doesn't like to look at beautiful art work, go shopping and party all at the same time!? To me, it sounds like the perfect evening.
So I sold my jewelry at the grand opening of one of the venues. The turnout wasn't what we all had hoped, since it was a little off the beaten path...but it was ok. For the amount of people there I think I sold quite well! I made my money back at least lol. But I was SO nervous beforehand since I have never sold in front of actual people before.
Selling online is easy. Someone doesn't like my work? Well, I never have to know about it. This was the first time I was going to be judged, and know about it. But I have to say...it went really well. Everyone loved my stuff and had the sweetest things to say. PHEW! My sister came out to help me set up and keep my company. Couldn't of done it without her. It was great to have a support system for my first time. Also, my booth neighbor, Colleen, was a complete sweetheart and had some amazing bags, to boot!
Check them out here! So great exposure, an awesome neighbor, a great learning experience and just a great time overall...well....Here's to another awesome event!
Sorry about the terrible quality :( But this is the overview of the booths!
My sister Courtney came to help me out! <3
My number 1 fan! She and her friend kept coming back to my booth and were in love with everything, she bought the earrings she is wearing and her friend, a necklace. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen...and was totally humbling. My first sales at an event to 7 year olds? Priceless. They were SO happy.
